Prosecutors seek over 11 years in prison for Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Combs' defence called the recommendation "draconian," noting he has already served 14 months in the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn, New York.

NEW YORK - United States (US) federal prosecutors have requested an 11-year and three-month prison sentence for rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was convicted of sexual offences earlier this year, German Press Agency (dpa) reported.
Court documents filed by the prosecution on Tuesday said the sentence should reflect the way the crimes were committed, accusing Combs of inflicting "decades of unchecked violence" and "decades of psychological, emotional and physical damage."
Combs' defence called the recommendation "draconian," noting he has already served 14 months in the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
Combs' former partner, Cassie Ventura, who testified during the trial, wrote in a court letter that she fears retaliation if he is released from custody.
The sentence is scheduled to be announced on Friday.
Jurors at a federal courthouse in New York found Combs guilty only on the least severe charge related to prostitution, acquitting him of conspiracy to commit organised crime and human trafficking, while convicting him on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Had he been convicted on all counts, he could have faced life in prison. - BERNAMA-dpa
