Three Malaysians detained as Israeli forces intercept 'Free Willy' vessel

SHAH ALAM – The Free Willy, a humanitarian vessel under the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), was intercepted by Israeli forces in international waters at 7.53am Gaza time.

Sumud Nusantara confirmed the incident in a statement posted on its official Facebook page.

“This vessel is carrying three Malaysian delegates who are part of the Global Sumud Flotilla humanitarian mission to Gaza. Further developments will be announced from time to time,” the statement read.

The three Malaysians on board the vessel were identified as Muhd Haikal Luqman Zulkefli, Muhammad Hareez Adzrami (Haroqs) and Dr Taufiq Mohd Razif.

As of now, 15 Malaysians have been confirmed detained following interceptions by the Israeli Navy.

The Sumud Nusantara Command Centre (SNCC) said several vessels, including the Fair Lady and Inana, remained in contact and were still sailing toward Gaza.
