Faith does not erase race – Firdaus Wong on identity beyond labels

In a powerful reminder against racial prejudice, Firdaus Wong shared a personal story addressing a common stereotype that converting to Islam makes someone “less Chinese” or “more Malay.”
He reminded that being born Chinese, Malay, Indian, Iban or Dayak is not a choice, but Allah’s decree.
Therefore, race should neither be a source of pride nor shame and it should never be used to judge others.
