“Shameful and Dishonest” - Tun M on Malaysia’s Naturalised Player Controversy, Indicates Someone is Pulling the Strings

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad expresses deep disappointment over Malaysia’s recent football scandal involving allegedly falsified citizenships and birth records given to foreign players to represent the national team.

Tun Mahathir calls the issue shameful, stating that national teams should be represented by true Malaysians - not foreign players rushed into citizenship without proper vetting. 

He further criticises selective law enforcement, saying that some wrongdoers are protected because they hold power and believe they can get away with anything.
