Clinical Psychologist at the National Cancer Society Malaysia Jefferson Ng delivers a firm message to spouses - especially husbands of cancer patients.

Responding to stories of women abandoned by their partners after diagnosis, he stresses that fear is not an excuse for abandonment. 

While men may feel helpless or overwhelmed watching their partners suffer, walking away only leaves the patient to face both illness and loneliness.
