A Nissan Serena car driven by a lecturer at the Sultan Mizan Teacher Education Institute collided with a Yamaha Y16ZR motorcycle of the two students from SMK Permaisuri Nur Zahirah.

JERTIH - Two Form One schoolboys died when the motorcycle they were riding allegedly collided with a car on Jalan Bukit Keluang here this morning.

Besut district police chief, Supt Azamuddin Ahmad @ Abu said his department received information about the incident involving two students, both aged 13, at 7.30am.

He said the incident is believed to have occurred when a Nissan Serena car driven by a woman lecturer at the Sultan Mizan Teacher Education Institute here collided with a Yamaha Y16ZR motorcycle of the two students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Permaisuri Nur Zahirah.

"The incident is believed to have occurred when a Nissan Serena car from Taman Persiaran Limbongan was exiting the junction to turn right and a motorcycle ridden by the students was coming from the direction of Bukit Keluang towards the school.

"The incident caused both victims to die at the scene due to severe head and body injuries," he said in a statement today.

Azamuddin said the bodies of the two teenagers had been taken to the Besut Hospital Forensic Unit for a post-mortem and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. - BERNAMA
