SHAH ALAM - HardTech and Transmission Electronic Dance Music (EDM) festival makes a powerful Malaysian debut at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit (SIC), dazzling thousands with world-class performances and meticulous event management.
The organiser, Hi Five Entertainment said the festival stood out for its full compliance with the Youth and Sports Ministry's newly introduced Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for EDM events.
The highly anticipated debut of HardTech and Transmission lit up the helipad at SIC on Oct 18 and Oct 19, bringing together thousands of fans in a spectacular celebration of music and motorsport.
Held in conjunction with the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia 2025 pre-party, the two-day event delivered an energetic fusion of world-class dance music and racing spirit, which marked a milestone moment for Malaysia’s electronic music landscape.
Over the weekend, festival-goers experienced electrifying back-to-back performances from a star-studded lineup, including Markus Schulz, Aly & Fila, Sub Zero Project, Ben Nicky, Warface and MANDY.
From the hard-hitting soundscapes of HardTech’s hardstyle and techno beats to the euphoric trance journey of Transmission, the event enthralled audiences with its immersive visuals, cutting-edge production and exhilarating atmosphere.

Hi Five Entertainment said the festival strictly followed the five SOPs for EDM events.
These included providing hydration points, having on-site medical teams, promoting anti-drug awareness, designating standby hospitals and deploying drug detection canine units all aimed at ensuring a safe and responsible environment for festival-goers.
The event’s successful execution was made possible through the collaboration between Hi Five Entertainment and the Petronas Sepang International Circuit, supported by key government agencies and authorities including the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, District Police Headquarters, Licensing and Enforcement Department, Sepang Municipal Council, Health Ministry and Central Agency for Application for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes.
Their collective effort ensured that every operational and safety aspect met international standards, as they set a precedent for large-scale music festivals in the country.
Equally praiseworthy were the fans of HardTech and Transmission, who embraced the SOPs and demonstrated commendable behaviour throughout the event.
The attendees celebrated responsibly, stayed hydrated and respected all safety measures while enjoying two nights of musical euphoria.
“We are proud to have delivered not just a groundbreaking music experience, but also a safe and well-managed one.
“The success of HardTech and Transmission’s debut in Malaysia proves that with the right collaboration, EDM festivals can thrive responsibly while upholding international standards,” said Hi Five Entertainment managing director Sean Pereira.
