Holiday turns tragic as two men drown off Pantai Chenang

The victims, aged 38 and 46, from Selangor, had come to Langkawi with their families for a holiday.

ALOR SETAR - Two men drowned while swimming off Pantai Chenang, Langkawi, yesterday.

Langkawi Police deputy chief Supt Samsulmuddin Sulaiman said they received a report on the incident at 6.05pm.

He said the victims, aged 38 and 46, from Selangor, had come to Langkawi with their families for a holiday.

"Both victims were pulled out of the sea by members of the public and taken to the Sultanah Maliha Hospital in Langkawi, where they were pronounced dead,” he said in a statement today. - BERNAMA
