KUALA LUMPUR - Timor-Leste Prime Minister, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao, took the time to connect with media personnel who had been standing for two hours at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) grounds to cover the 47th Asean Summit.

He approached the journalists to check on them while offering sweets from his suit pocket.

“I see your face, you look tired and hungry. Here, I’m giving you some sweets,” he said to a Sinar reporter on Sunday.

Gusmao is known for his friendly demeanour, often engaging and joking with reporters, as he did during the Second Asean-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit here last May.
