SEREMBAN - A man with a learning disability was killed when his family’s semi-permanent house was destroyed in a fire at Kampung Seberang Batu Hampar, Rembau, near here, last night.

Rembau Fire and Rescue Station chief Assistant Fire Superintendent Muhamad Khairul Yahaya said the department received a call about the incident involving the 25-year-old victim at 10.57pm.

"Only the victim and his 59-year-old father were at home during the incident. The father said he was asleep when he was awakened by several small explosions and saw flames coming from his son’s room.
