SHAH ALAM - When Inspector Sheila shows up, it’s never quiet. The viral cop walked into court today with movie-star flair, greeting reporters, warning photographers and making sure all eyes stayed on her.
Suspended police officer Sheila Sharon Steven Kumar, 37 or better known as Inspector Sheila had arrived at the court complex in a white police van, escorted by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers. Dressed in a sleeveless blouse and hot pink pario skirt, she greeted the press with:
“Good afternoon, everyone. How are you? Any questions, you guys can ask me later, alright? Nice meeting you guys. It is a good day, Malaysia.”
Moments later, she snapped at photographers:
“Did you ask for my permission to take this picture? You can’t record or take photos without my consent. Which media are you from? Taking pictures without my permission, you just wait."
Her lawyer, M. Manoharan, said she was arrested around 7.50am and taken to the Dang Wangi police station before facing charges in court.
The case stemmed from a viral video on Nov 4, where Sheila allegedly mocked policemen for stopping a Pakistani man without a licence, accusing them of "not knowing the law" and "threatening" the man.

City police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus confirmed she’s being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act for insulting behaviour. Sheila has been suspended since June 2023.
With the investigation papers now in the hands of prosecutors, the internet’s favourite cop drama just got a new chapter and Sheila, as always, played her part to perfection.
