Manchester United issues message of solidarity to flood-affected Malaysians

SHAH ALAM – English Premier League giants Manchester United captured the attention of Malaysian football supporters after issuing a message of solidarity to those affected by the ongoing floods, sharing the note through a Facebook posting directed to a Malaysian fan group.
"Manchester United stands with the people of Malaysia! To those affected by the floods, may you face this challenge safely," the club’s poster read.
"To the people of Malaysia, please remain cautious during this rainy season and take good care of yourselves! #MUFC,” the caption further added.
The posting gained strong traction, garnering 3,000 likes, 116 comments, and 321 shares.
Among the public responses, one user teased: "Pray for Liverpool as well. They are now trapped in a cave because of the floods."
Another added: "If you don’t want us to play in the floodwaters, make sure the 3 points are in hand."
A supporter also cheered: "Glory Glory Manchester United."
Flood conditions remain severe nationwide as multiple states continue to experience rising water levels.
According to the Social Welfare Department’s Disaster Info Portal, updated on Nov 24 at 2.38pm, a total of 12,781 evacuees from 4,532 families have been placed at temporary relief centres.
