KOTA KINABALU - DAP has been completely shut out in Sabah, losing all eight seats it contested.

In Kapayan, incumbent Jannie Lasimbang was defeated by a Warisan candidate, based on unofficial results released by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).

The sweeping loss signals a major setback for Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Based on unofficial results, Warisan has captured all six seats previously held by the Democratic Action Party (DAP) in 2020 — namely Likas, Kapayan, Elopura, Luyang, Tanjong Papat, and Sri Tanjong.

If these results are confirmed, it would mark the first time since 2004 that DAP will not have any representation in the Sabah State Legislative Assembly.
