Sabah forms a Unity Government

The government now comprises Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Pertubuhan Kinabalu Progresif Bersatu (UPKO), Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN).

KOTA KINABALU – Sabah’s Deputy Chief Minister I has confirmed that the Sabah Government is now a Unity Government.

Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam said the government now comprises Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Pertubuhan Kinabalu Progresif Bersatu (UPKO), Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN).

“Yes, it is a Unity Government. Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) has not joined,” he said at a press conference at the Sabah Chief Minister’s Official Residence, Sri Gaya, on Monday.

Earlier, he read out the full list of Cabinet members as reported previously.

  • Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam: Deputy Chief Minister I and Public Works and Utilities Minister.
  • Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun: Deputy Chief Minister II and Finance Minister.
  • Datuk Ewon Benedick: Deputy Chief Minister III, who is also Industry, Entrepreneurship and Transport Minister.
  • Datuk Arifin Arif: Local Government and Housing Minister.
  • Datuk Jamawi Jaafar: Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister.
  • Datuk Rubin Balang: Rural Development Minister.
  • Datuk James Ratib: Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister.
  • Datuk Jafry Ariffin: Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister.
  • Datuk Julita Mojungki: Women, Health and Community Well-being Minister.
  • Datuk Nizam Titingan: Youth Development, Sports Advancement and Creative Economy Minister.
