Misunderstanding led to 2-year-old left in front of restaurant
In a Facebook post, the Raub District Police said they managed to contact the child’s family.

RAUB – A two-year-old boy who was left in front of a restaurant by accident here on Monday has been reunited with his family.
In a Facebook post, the Raub District Police said they managed to contact the child’s family.
“The family came to the Raub Police Station at 4pm to take the child home,” the statement said on Monday night.
According to the post, investigations found that the family was travelling from Johor Bahru to Tersan, Dong and had stopped at the restaurant around noon to settle some matters in the area.
“After eating, the family split into two vehicles. A misunderstanding happened and the parents thought their child was with the mother’s sister, who was in the other car.
“When they reached Kuala Lumpur, the mother asked her sister about the child. Only then did they realise the boy had actually been left behind in Raub,” police said.
Earlier, a man found the child wandering around the restaurant’s parking area.
It is understood that he waited for about 45 minutes, but no guardian showed up. He then brought the child to the Raub Police Station.
Police reminded parents to remain vigilant of their young children’s movements, particularly during long-distance journeys or when travelling in multiple vehicles to avoid such risks.
