Tried & tested: Can you really slip in and go? We put Skechers’ new running shoes to the test
The verdict? Surprisingly solid.

SHAH ALAM - If tying your shoelaces feels like the hardest part of your morning run, Skechers may have just solved your problem.
The brand has launched its new Slip-ins: GOrun Arch Fit 2.0 collection in Malaysia, a hands-free running shoe designed for people who love short-distance runs but hate fiddling with their footwear.
The collection, made for both men and women, blends convenience with performance in a way that makes slipping on your shoes almost suspiciously easy.
Thanks to the Hands Free Slip-ins design, you can literally step in and start running.
No bending down, no tugging at laces, no hands needed and honestly, that alone already makes life easier.

To see if the hype holds up, we got our hands on the men’s Black Charcoal pair and passed it to a colleague for a 5km test run around Taman Tasik Shah Alam. The verdict? Surprisingly solid.
He noted great support, comfortable cushioning and zero slipping out of the heel.
The shoe is also impressively lightweight, which made the run feel less taxing than usual.
The Arch Fit insole system (backed by two decades of research and 120,000 foot scans) clearly shows its work here, keeping the foot stable and supported throughout the run.
And while we haven’t gotten the pair too dirty yet, the fact that it’s machine-washable is a huge win for those of us who are far too lazy to scrub mud off our running shoes every weekend, especially in December’s uncertain weather.
Visually, colour choices range from subtle Black Charcoal and Grey to louder Yellow Black and Navy Orange - something for both minimalists and attention-seekers on the jogging track.

Perhaps the strongest endorsement came from our tester, who said this pair will “definitely be a go-to among his many other shoes,” which, trust us, is high praise from someone who owns more running shoes than actual running habits.
The result? A running shoe that lets you skip the hassle, step right in and go, all while staying comfortable for your everyday 5km.
Priced at RM459, the Skechers Slip-ins: GOrun Arch Fit 2.0 collection is now available at selected Skechers stores nationwide, including Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Pavilion Damansara Heights, Pavilion KL, Suria KLCC, TRX Mall, 1 Utama and more.
