MP arrested by MACC in Kedah cattle breeding project probe
When contacted, MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed the arrest.

ALOR SETAR – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has detained an MP in connection with a state-owned cattle-farming joint venture in Kedah.
According to sources, the arrest is tied to investigations that began in February, centred on allegations that the MP received about RM400,000 in exchange for facilitating land usage rights for the fidlot project.
A source said a case file was opened after a complaint was lodged on Feb 10.
“Investigations relating to this case have been conducted and involved a total of 15 witnesses whose statements have been recorded,” the source said in a statement on Friday.
When contacted, MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed the arrest.
He stated that the MP had his statement recorded under Section 53(3) of the MACC Act 2009 before being released on bail.
