SHAH ALAM - It was supposed to be a secret fling, but a woman in Guangdong province, southern China ended up clinging off a 10th floor balcony like a budget Spiderman when her lover’s wife walked through the door.
The moment the wife arrived home, the shirtless man seen in the viral clip went into full panic, pushing his girlfriend out onto the balcony in a desperate attempt to hide their affair.
With nowhere else to go, the woman was left dangling over the edge, gripping the railing with one hand as if auditioning for a superhero reboot.
From there, things only got wilder. She inched her way down the building by clutching onto an external pipe and window ledges before knocking on another apartment’s window, hoping someone would save her from the whirlwind.
Online users quickly crowned her the real-life Spiderman, though the comments were not as kind to the man involved.
Many blasted him as a “coward” for risking the woman’s life, while others applauded her bravery and were simply relieved she survived the stunt.
China’s divorce numbers have been climbing steadily since 1998, with more than 3.6 million couples filing to split by 2023 and viral episodes like this are only fuelling conversations about modern relationships.
