Cabinet reshuffle: Johari, Hannah Yeoh get new ministerial roles

PUTRAJAYA - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has carried out a significant cabinet reshuffle, resulting in several notable promotions and portfolio changes among Members of Parliament.

Titiwangsa MP Datuk Seri Johari Ghani has been elevated to head the Investment, Trade and and Industry Ministry (MITI).

Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh has been assigned the role of Federal Territories Minister, operating under the Prime Minister’s Department.

DAP's Steven Sim has been moved to the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry.

PKR Vice-President Datuk R. Ramanan will take charge of the Human Resources Ministry.

Meanwhile, according to Bernama, Anwar said the adjustments were necessary to fill vacancies in the Cabinet.

"This is to ensure the Cabinet works as a team and focuses on reinvigorating economic growth while addressing the people's concerns.

"I will only announce ministers whose portfolios have been changed and new appointments. Those who remain in their posts will not be announced," he told reporters in Putrajaya.
