KUCHING – The Business Financing Briefing Roadshow Series, organised by Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB), officially concluded its nationwide tour here after recording exceptional participation from the local Bumiputera business community.
Since January, the programme has travelled to 12 locations across the country, engaging Bumiputera entrepreneurs from various sectors.
The final stops in Sarawak saw strong turnouts, with 100 participants in Kuching and 74 in Miri.

Attendees included existing PUNB Entrepreneur Partners and new entrepreneurs seeking updated information on financial solutions and business advisory services.
“Throughout the roadshow series, PUNB continued to emphasise its primary mandate of developing the retail and distribution trade sectors.
“We remain committed to ensuring that entrepreneurs within this value chain are empowered to compete in an increasingly challenging market through sustainable capital support and advisory services,” PUNB said in a statement.
Beyond the retail sector, the Sarawak roadshow also served as a vital platform to support the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between PUNB and Sarawak Energy.
This collaboration opens doors for local Bumiputera entrepreneurs to venture into strategic industries, including oil and gas, renewable energy technology and professional technical services.
To facilitate participation in these high-impact sectors, PUNB highlighted the PROSPER IMPACT ePerolehan scheme as a key working capital solution. Main features of the scheme include:
- Revolving Capital Fund: Offering financing of up to RM20 million starting in 2026.
- Target Group: Specifically for entrepreneurs who have successfully secured contracts through the ePerolehan system.
- Key Benefit: Assists entrepreneurs in executing government contracts or large-scale technical projects by ensuring smooth cash flow during the initial stages.

The success of the 12-part series highlights the consistent demand among Bumiputera entrepreneurs for information and growth opportunities.
In Sarawak, PUNB particularly encouraged entrepreneurs to move beyond the retail sector and penetrate heavy industry supply chains, such as oil and gas, by leveraging PUNB’s financial support.
While the Kuching stop marks the end of this year’s tour, PUNB’s commitment to driving the economic growth of Bumiputera entrepreneurs remains a priority through future strategic initiatives.
