Pickleball joins Kidslympic 2026
The children’s multi-discipline sports festival had formalised the move through a collaboration with pickleball ecosystem company Sports Empire Sdn Bhd as part of its mission to build the country’s largest youth sports ecosystem.

KIDSLYMPIC officially introduces pickleball as a new sports category for its 2026 edition, expanding opportunities for Malaysian children to engage in emerging global sports.
The children’s multi-discipline sports festival had formalised the move through a collaboration with pickleball ecosystem company Sports Empire Sdn Bhd as part of its mission to build the country’s largest youth sports ecosystem.
Kidslympic co-founder and Olympic silver medallist Goh Liu Ying said the inclusion aligned with the event’s long-term agenda to place Malaysian children and youths at the forefront of the rapidly growing sport worldwide.

“Kidslympic was created to nurture a love for sports and pickleball is a perfect addition to this vision.
“It is fun, inclusive and easy for children to learn, but most importantly, it builds self-confidence.
“I believe pickleball will become one of the most exciting entry-level sports for children and Kidslympic is proud to lead this movement,” she said.
The Memorandum of Understanding signed enabled children aged four to 12 to explore pickleball, helping them build confidence while cultivating an active lifestyle from an early age.
Kidslympic Malaysia is a national multi-discipline sports festival dedicated to empowering youth sports development and encouraging holistic growth among children through sports.
