KUANTAN – A popular TikTok influencer was killed in a road accident involving two motorcycles at Jalan Tanjung Lumpur, near TMG Mall Bandar Putra, early Saturday morning (Jan 3, 2026).

The incident happened at 2.30am where the victim, 21-year old Nurul Athira Auni Mohamad Hafizzan from Tanah Putih Baru, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial findings suggest that both riders were traveling from the direction of Tanjung Lumpur toward Kuantan city centre.

"Upon reaching the location, the victim was riding straight in the right lane. Suddenly, a motorcycle ridden by the student approached from behind and crashed into her," Ashari said.

He said t the collision was believed to have happened when the other rider attempted to avoid the victim’s motorcycle by swerving to the left. However, the victim reportedly moved in the same direction at the same time, resulting in the impact.

The victim’s body was transported to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) for a post-mortem examination. The injured rider was also sent to the same hospital for medical treatment.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless or dangerous driving causing death.
