Anwar, Wan Azizah pray for Mahathir's swift recovery

The former prime minister was admitted to IJN here at 9.30am today after reportedly falling at his residence.

KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, have expressed their prayers for the health and speedy recovery of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is currently receiving treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN).

"I, together with Azizah, pray for Tun Mahathir’s well-being and swift recovery, Insya-Allah,” Anwar posted on Facebook.

The former prime minister was admitted to IJN here at 9.30am today after reportedly falling at his residence.

The matter was confirmed by Tun Dr Mahathir’s press secretary, Sufi Yusoff, via a message shared on the official Dr M Media Updates WhatsApp group.

Sufi said the 100-year-old statesman was taken to IJN by ambulance and was reported to be conscious. - BERNAMA
