MACC seizes RM4.7 million in assets from senior armed forces officers in tender corruption case
The seizures involved vehicles, cash, gold and the freezing of several corporate and personal bank accounts to assist in the investigation.

PUTRAJAYA — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has seized assets worth RM4.7 million, including the freezing of company accounts, in connection with a corruption case involving senior Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) officers linked to procurement supplies under the Armed Forces Welfare Fund (TKAT) and Defence Ministry.
MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the seizures involved vehicles, cash, gold and the freezing of several corporate and personal bank accounts to assist in the investigation.
“The vehicle seizures involved two luxury vehicles, a Mercedes A180 and a Toyota Vellfire, as well as a Proton Iriz and two motorcycles, namely a Yamaha Xmax 250 and a Honda ADV 150,” he said during a press conference at the MACC headquarters here today.
Azam said MACC also seized RM1.3 million in cash and foreign currencies amounting to RM721,000.
“In addition, gold seizures involved 66 gold bars weighing 2.49 kilogrammes, with an estimated value of RM1.7 million,” he said.
