Actress Nadia Kesuma untraceable after arriving in Jeddah
“I met a stranger” — that was her final message.
SHAH ALAM - Actress known for her roles in Gerak Khas and the film Syaitan Munafik, Nadia Kesuma, has been reported missing after she could not be traced upon arriving at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah last night.
Nadia, who travelled to Jeddah for an umrah before continuing her journey to London and Paris, did not check in for her connecting flight to London as scheduled.
Her close friend, actress and Gagasan Transformasi Anak Seni (GTAS) president Anne Abdullah said Nadia had travelled alone.
According to Anne, upon arriving in Jeddah, Nadia managed to send a message to her husband to inform him that she had arrived safely.
However, the situation became more worrying when Nadia’s last message to her husband was believed to hint that she might have been facing a distressing situation.
“I met a stranger” - that was her final message.
Anne said a police report would be lodged in the near future to enable investigations and search efforts to be carried out through local authorities and relevant agencies.
Family members and friends have also appealed to the public to pray for the actress to be found as soon as possible and in safe condition.
Nadia, whose full name is Nadiah Kasumawati Abdul Karim, has also appeared in the film Kudeta as well as television drama series Suri Hati and Bintang. - AWANI
