Fire destroys 20 motorcycles in Parit Buntar home workshop

IPOH - A fire has destroyed 20 motorcycles at a residential property in Parit Buntar that was being used as a motorcycle repair shop and storage facility.
The early morning blaze, which broke out at a house on Lorong Parit 1 in Titi Serong, caused extensive damage.
Acting assistant director of Operations for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department, Shazlean Mohd Hanafiah, said firefighters were alerted at 1.50 am.
"The fire also partially damaged a Honda FD. Thankfully, there were no casualties," he said, adding that approximately 70 per cent of the structure was damaged.
It is believed the destroyed motorcycles included a mix of new and old models, some of which belonged to customers.
The firefighting operation, involving crews from the Parit Buntar station and four local volunteer units, was fully concluded by 5.50am. - BERNAMA
