KUALA LUMPUR – No decision was made on the dismissal of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin during a special meeting held at the residence of party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Sunday.

This was confirmed by Kota Siputeh assemblyman Mohd Ashraf Mustaqim Badrul Munir.

“Tell the office, can go home. Hamzah has not been sacked,” he told reporters briefly outside Muhyiddin’s residence here yesterday.

Sinar previously reported that Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and vice-president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu were among those present at the meeting.

It is understood that Hamzah did not attend the special meeting.

Azmin had earlier said a special meeting of the Bersatu Supreme Leadership Council (MPT) would be held at Muhyiddin’s residence.

The meeting came amid escalating leadership tensions within Bersatu, with growing pressure between factions aligned with Muhyiddin and Hamzah.
