Avelon Healthcare Group joins forces with National Cancer Society Malaysia to make oncology care more affordable

SHAH ALAM – Avelon Healthcare Group has partnered with the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) in a strategic collaboration aimed at setting a new benchmark for accessible and affordable cancer care in the country.

The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, coinciding with World Cancer Day.

The alliance arrives as rising global medical costs place increasing pressure on cancer patients and their families.

The MoU was signed by NCSM Managing Director Professor Dr Murallitharan Munisamy and Avelon Healthcare Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jess Chong.

She emphasised that the Group aims to act as a “Resource Bridge,” ensuring that quality healthcare is no longer a privilege but a realistic option for all.

“We will leverage our global network to bring value to the local healthcare sector.

“This includes securing cost-effective medicines and advanced equipment, while also educating the public on prevention and health awareness,” she said.

She added that the Group’s vision extends beyond traditional pharmaceuticals into scientific research and precision medicine, with ongoing investments in biotechnology and US-based research projects.

In addition to providing access to affordable medicine, Avelon Healthcare Group will offer dual support in nutrition, ensuring that treatment plans are both scientifically sound and financially manageable.

Through this collaboration, the partnership seeks to advance the “3A” goals—Affordability, Availability and Accessibility—setting the stage for a more inclusive and sustainable approach to oncology care in Malaysia.
