SHAH ALAM – Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Steven Sim has been admitted to the hospital on the fourth day of the Chinese New Year following a period of demanding official duties.
While the specific reason for his admission remains undisclosed, Sim took to social media on Friday to share that medical professionals had instructed him to undergo a brief period of recuperation.
"After weeks of a relentless workload, I was admitted to the hospital on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year.
“My doctors have advised me to rest for a short while," he wrote.

Remaining optimistic, the Bukit Mertajam MP added a traditional Chinese proverb, translating to "after hardship comes good fortune," and assured his supporters that he would return to work soon.
The announcement triggered a wave of public support.
Social media users, including Naim Kanim and Mohamad Sani Thalib, posted well-wishes urging the Minister to "keep going," while others, such as Badr El Khaer and Nicco Heng, wished him a "speedy and rocket recovery".
Abdul Manaf Shariff also encouraged the Minister to return to his duties "stronger" once his health permitted.
Despite the lack of specific details regarding his condition, Sim's message suggested he intends to resume his ministerial responsibilities in the near future.
As of the time of publication, no official statement has been released providing further updates on his health status.
