KUALA LUMPUR - The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has announced a dividend rate of 6.15 per cent for 2025 (2024: 6.3 per cent) for both the conventional and shariah savings accounts, with a total payout of RM79.6 billion.

Chief executive officer Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn said that for the year ended Dec 31, 2025, EPF recorded total distributable income of RM82.7 billion, up 9.5 per cent from RM75.5 billion in 2024.

He said investment assets grew to RM1.41 trillion, an increase of 12.8 per cent from RM1.25 trillion previously, driven by portfolio income and net contributions of RM66.5 billion.

"Equities remained the primary contributor in 2025, generating RM50.7 billion, or 64 per cent of total investment income.

"This surpassed RM49.9 billion in 2024, while return of investment (ROI) moderated to 7.9 per cent amid global market volatility and softer domestic market conditions.

"Private equity investments, which represent around 8.0 per cent of the equity investments, recorded an ROI of 10.5 per cent,” he said when making the 2025 EPF dividend announcement today. - BERNAMA
