Local man arrested after viral video of public nudity in Kluang

Police arrested a man on Wednesday after a video of him walking naked went viral.

KLUANG – Police have arrested a 50-year-old local man after a video showing him walking naked in public went viral on social media.

Kluang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh said the incident is believed to have taken place at Jalan Mengkibol, Kluang, at approximately 7pm on Tuesday.

“Acting on information received, a team of officers and personnel from the Kluang Police Station arrested a local man at Taman Sunrise Park here at about 4pm on Wednesday,” he said.

Initial checks revealed that the suspect has one prior criminal record. A urine screening test was also conducted, which returned negative results for illicit substances.

“The case is currently being investigated under Section 377D of the Penal Code,” Bahrin added in a statement.

Police are expected to apply for a remand order at the Kluang Magistrate’s Court on Thursday to facilitate further investigations.
