Customers can make sah (valid) and secure zakat payments via an end-to-end digital solution integrated within the AEON Bank app.

SHAH ALAM – AEON Bank, the first digital Islamic bank in Malaysia has introduced a new Zakat feature on its digital banking app, allowing Muslim customers to fulfill their mandatory Zakat Fitrah obligations with ease during the holy month of Ramadan.
The digital Islamic bank stated that the feature enables users to fulfil their mandatory Zakat Fitrah obligations directly through their smartphones, eliminating the need to visit physical counters.
The service is made possible through a strategic partnership with Tulus Digital, an Islamic social finance fintech platform and authorised agent for several state zakat authorities, including Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council Zakat Collection Centre (PPZ-MAIWP) and Selangor Zakat Board (LZS).

She stated that digital banking should not only be about managing money but also about supporting customers’ lifestyles and values.
“By enabling the Zakat feature in our app, we are fulfilling the amanah (trust) to make mandatory religious obligations as convenient and stress-free as possible. This partnership with Tulus Digital is about merging ethical technology - just in time for Ramadan, allowing our customers to focus on their Rukun Islam amal ibadah while we facilitate the technical details,” she said.
