This Raya season, Melawati Mall is inviting shoppers to celebrate Syawal with a touch of artistry and personal expression through its 2026 festive campaign, Lakaran Syawal. Running until April 6, the campaign draws inspiration from the timeless beauty of engraving motifs and the art of personalisation — reimagining Malay traditional craftsmanship in a contemporary retail experience.

Launched at Meranti Court and officiated by renowned local designer Tom Abang Saufi, the campaign sets the tone for a Raya celebration that blends heritage with high style. Known for her intricate detailing and elegant silhouettes, Tom Abang Saufi’s presence underscores the campaign’s focus on refined craftsmanship and cultural pride.

At the heart of Lakaran Syawal is a specially curated Raya marketplace featuring a vibrant lineup of local designers and festive brands. Shoppers can browse Muslimah fashion, traditional wear, samping, festive treats and accessories from names such as McVogue, Love Trisha, Anna Satrin, Awesome Snacks, Ababil, Orchid Classic, Al Haraman and Eastman & Estella. Beyond the Raya booths, more than 40 fashion brands — including Variante, Kashkha, Omar Ali, Ms Read, Three B’s, Max Fashion, Padini, Brands Outlet and Uniqlo — offer something stylish for every member of the family.

Food, of course, remains central to the festive spirit. The mall’s extensive dining options provide ideal venues for buka puasa and Raya gatherings, from sweet indulgences at Lapisan Patisserie to hearty meals at Johnny’s Restaurants, Tony Roma’s, Seoul Garden, Mee Hiris China Muslim, Tea Garden and Champur.

Adding a thoughtful twist to gift-giving this year, shoppers can enjoy complimentary personalised engraving services on selected weekends (March 7–8 and 14–15) with a minimum spend of RM50, or with the redemption of the exclusive Ukiran Gift Box. Festive collectibles are also up for grabs, including Seni Syawal Packets with a minimum spend of RM180, Corak Seri Mat with RM500, and the Ukiran Raya Gift Box with RM900 (terms and receipt combinations apply).

Shoppers can further maximise their visits by redeeming complimentary vouchers via the CapitaPlus rewards platform, making late-night Raya shopping even more rewarding. Post-Terawih moreh sessions are made sweeter with treats from The Coffee Bean, Champur and Lapisan Patisserie.

The festive ambience will be elevated with cultural performances throughout the campaign, including Dikir Barat showcases, modern Raya dance performances and Kompang Adik Beradik appearances.

CapitaPlus members can also enjoy exclusive participation in selected activities and enhanced festive privileges.

Adding even more excitement, Melawati Mall has partnered with Traveloka for the CapitaPlus Shop Till You Fly campaign. Shoppers who spend RM100 and above in a single receipt stand a chance to win a RM15,000 holiday to Korea, with the contest running until March 31.

Beyond the Raya celebrations, the mall continues to expand its lifestyle offerings with upcoming openings. International lifestyle and activewear brand Body Glove will soon join the retail mix. Creative family spaces such as Lulu Sensory Deluloft, Monsters Art Studio and Monsters Craft Studio will introduce structured art programmes and hands-on workshops for children, while The Bretzel & Co — a Sarawak-based artisanal bakery — will offer freshly baked pretzels and breads for shoppers seeking a delightful grab-and-go treat.

More than just a shopping campaign, Lakaran Syawal is a tribute to heritage artistry, thoughtful craftsmanship and meaningful connections. By weaving engraving motifs and personalised experiences into the festive season, Melawati Mall creates a Raya celebration that feels intimate, elegant and deeply rooted in tradition — while still embracing modern flair.
