Elderly man found dead by roadside

He was discovered unconscious by members of the public near his vehicle.

SEPANG – The body of an elderly man was found lying by the roadside near Taman La Cottage, Taman Putra Perdana, Puchong on Monday.

Sepang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman said the 67-year-old local man was discovered unconscious by members of the public near his vehicle.

“Initial investigations found that the deceased had left his house to look for recyclable items before he was found lying at the scene.

“Checks carried out found no elements of foul play,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.

He said the case has been classified as a sudden death report.

Norhizam added that the victim’s body was sent to the Forensic Department at Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem.

He also advised the public not to spread unverified or false information regarding the incident.

“Any information related to the case can be channelled to the nearest police station or to the investigating officer, Sergeant Major Roslan Rosin at 012-3618462.

“The public may also contact the Putra Perdana Police Station at 03-80604222 or the Sepang district police headquarters at 03-87774222,” he said.
