Mysterious foul smell leads to discovery of university lecturer’s body
Initial checks at the scene found no physical injuries on the victim and no signs of foul play.

BESUT - A foul smell reported by residents in Kampung Gelam Mas, Keluang here led to the discovery of the body of a local university lecturer at his home on Tuesday morning.
Besut district police chief Supt Mohd Rozaime Ab Rahim said police received information from members of the public before rushing to the scene.
"The body of the 49-year-old man was found at about 9.38am. Initial checks at the scene found no physical injuries on the victim and no signs of foul play," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
Rozaime said it is understood that the victim had a history of heart disease.
He added that the body was taken to the Forensic Unit of the Besut Hospital for a post-mortem.
"The post-mortem confirmed the cause of death was Coronary Artery Atherosclerosis, or heart disease.
"The case has been classified as a sudden death report," he said.
He also advised the public to remain alert and to inform authorities immediately if they detect anything unusual or suspicious in their neighbourhood or community.
