SHAH ALAM - Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has returned to his office at Yayasan Kepimpinan Perdana after more than two months, marking a positive step in his recovery following a recent health setback.

Dr Mahathir had been receiving treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur since Jan 6 and was recently seen reviewing documents at his desk in a video shared on his official Facebook page.

Dr Mahathir appears to be in good health and has resumed his work routine at his office at Yayasan Kepimpinan Perdana.

The footage showed the 100-year-old statesman appearing in good health as he gradually resumes his work routine.

His return offers encouraging signs regarding his condition after he reportedly suffered a fall at his residence in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, which resulted in a fractured hip.

Due to his age, the recovery process required an extended period, involving follow-up medical care and physiotherapy before he was able to return to work.
