‘I want to eat BASS’s nasi minyak’ – Steven Sim
He also shared on Instagram Story a laksa package prepared by Bella.

SHAH ALAM – Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong jokingly said he is looking forward to “nasi minyak” when addressing actress-singer Bella Astillah and Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.
In local slang, “nasi minyak” is often used to hint at an upcoming wedding or to tease couples about tying the knot.
Sim made the remark in an Instagram post during his visit to social media influencer Khairul Aming’s restaurant, Rembayung, on Wednesday.
“After eating at Rembayung, I feel like having nasi minyak next. When is the event?” he quipped.
Bella and Syed Saddiq — popularly dubbed BASS — were engaged on March 28 after the latter proposed at Mount Kinabalu, Sabah.
On the same day, Sim also shared on Instagram Story a laksa package prepared by Bella.
Syed Saddiq, in a light-hearted reply, joked that Steven’s help came with one goal, to try his fiancée’s cooking.
The trio had dined together at Rembayung on Wednesday, where Steven also gave his verdict on the food.
“I’d rate it nine out of 10. My favourite dish is the fried egg in soy sauce,” he said.
