KUALA LUMPUR – Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd is prioritising efforts to ensure continuity of fuel supply across its network, in line with the government’s latest announcement.

Shell Malaysia is also working to maintain consistent fuel availability at all its stations.

“There may be a temporary surge in demand, which could result in short-term fuel shortages at certain stations.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers. We will continue to work to restore supply at affected stations as quickly as possible,” it said in a statement today.

Last Tuesday, Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said the National Economic Action Council (MTEN) is reviewing measures to diversify fuel input sources, strengthen cooperation with key trading partners and ensure national supply security amid the global energy crisis.

He added that the government is focusing on strengthening the country’s supply resilience. - BERNAMA
