KUALA LANGAT – A man’s decision to reprimand another individual for smoking at a nasi kandar restaurant in Bandar Rimbayu, Telok Panglima Garang here is believed to have triggered a fight on Wednesday.

Kuala Langat district police chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi said police received a report on the incident at about 2.07am from a local man.

“Preliminary investigations found a misunderstanding between two parties after one of the individuals was reprimanded for smoking in the area.

“The situation then escalated into a fight when both parties began assaulting each other,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

He added that the case is being investigated under Section 160 of the Penal Code.

“Members of the public with information on the incident are urged to assist in the investigation by contacting the nearest police station or the Kuala Langat district police headquarters operations room,” he said.
