KUALA LUMPUR – Police have opened an investigation into a bullying case involving the son of actor Ako Mustapha, which was reported to have taken place at a school recently.

Wangsa Maju district police chief Assistant Commissioner Annas Sulaiman said the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for causing injury.

“The case is currently being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code,” he said briefly on Thursday.

Earlier, media reports stated that the actor’s son was believed to have been a victim of bullying involving senior students as well as classmates.

The victim allegedly sustained injuries after being beaten and stepped on in several parts of his body during the incident.

The matter was first disclosed by the victim to his father before a report was lodged with the school and subsequently with the police.
