Indonesian traveller wins Porsche in Malaysia Airports’ Licence to Win 2025 campaign
The campaign formed part of broader efforts to position Malaysian airports as lifestyle destinations while supporting the goals of Visit Malaysia 2026.

SHAH ALAM – An Indonesian traveller has driven home a Porsche 911 Carrera after winning the grand prize in the grand finale of Malaysia Airports’ Licence to Win 2025 campaign.
Robert James was named the overall winner, with his wife Raenita Santoso representing him during the final round held at Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad on April 23.
She competed on his behalf in a series of high-stakes challenges and secured victory in the final stage of the competition.

Its Commercial Services senior general manager Hani Ezra Hussin said the campaign reflected the group’s evolving retail strategy and focus on enhancing airport experience.
“Strong participation and sustained sales demonstrated our ability to create more engaging and rewarding retail experiences across all touchpoints, while supporting our partners in driving visibility and growth.
“We are delighted to celebrate our winners, as our efforts beyond transactions continue to create meaningful and memorable moments for passengers,” she said.
The campaign, themed “Own the Dream”, ran from July to December 2025 across several major airports, including KLIA Terminal 1 and 2, Penang International Airport, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Langkawi International Airport and Kuching International Airport.
Travellers qualified for entries by spending a minimum of RM100 at participating outlets, with additional entries awarded through selected partners such as Eraman and Traveloka.
The initiative recorded more than 500,000 entries and generated over RM228 million in sales, marking a 56 per cent increase year-on-year.

Finalists competed in a fast-paced finale designed to test speed, focus and precision, with prizes ranging from international travel packages to Switzerland, Australia and Japan, as well as exclusive shopping rewards.
A BMW R1300 GS adventure touring motorcycle was also among the top prizes awarded during the event.
Malaysia Airports said the campaign highlighted shifting traveller trends, with the highest single receipt reaching RM93,000, while duty-free purchases remained the most popular category.

The strong response was also driven by accessible spending thresholds, particularly in food and beverage offerings, which encouraged broader participation.
The campaign formed part of broader efforts to position Malaysian airports as lifestyle destinations while supporting the goals of Visit Malaysia 2026.
Malaysia Airports said it would continue enhancing retail and travel experiences to create greater value and convenience for passengers across its network.
