DAP gears up for possible snap polls in three states
Its secretary-general, Anthony Loke Siew Fook, said the decision was made at the party’s Central Executive Committee meeting last night, which also discussed developments in the political situation in Negeri Sembilan.

KUALA LUMPUR - DAP has instructed its entire party machinery to be on standby for possible snap state elections if the legislative assemblies in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor are dissolved in the near future.
Its secretary-general, Anthony Loke Siew Fook, said the decision was made at the party’s Central Executive Committee meeting last night, which also discussed developments in the political situation in Negeri Sembilan.
"The move is an early preparatory step, should the legislative assemblies in the three states be dissolved soon.
"At the same time, DAP reiterates its full support for Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun to continue leading the state government and rejects any proposal to replace him at this time,” the statement said.
Loke added that the party remains committed to upholding the constitutional monarchy and ensuring that any related issues are handled in an orderly manner in accordance with the federal and state constitutions. - BERNAMA
