Selangor Pas Youth on standby for rally defending Sultan Sharafuddin
The movement is fully prepared to mobilise supporters once the official date is announced.

SHAH ALAM – Selangor Pas Youth has declared its readiness to organise a large-scale rally in defence of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, amid allegations involving insults towards the royal institution linked to the ongoing pig farming controversy in the state.
Selangor Pas Youth chief Mohamed Sukri Omar said the movement is fully prepared to mobilise supporters once the official date for the gathering is announced.
According to him, any act deemed disrespectful towards the Sultan of Selangor should not be viewed lightly and firm action must be taken against those involved.
“Selangor Pas Youth is on standby for a Rally to Defend His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, just wait for the date,” he said in a Facebook post on Friday.

He also urged the public, particularly Pas supporters, to be ready to attend the gathering when further details are announced.
The statement is believed to be linked to recent debates surrounding pig farming activities in Selangor, an issue that has drawn reactions from various quarters, including the Selangor Palace.
On Thursday, it was reported that Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah maintained his stance against allowing any pig farming activities in Selangor, regardless of scale.
The Sultan’s private secretary, Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani, said the ruler’s position remained unchanged following concerns over land suitability and environmental risks that could affect public interests.
He said the decree was consistent with the official statement issued by the palace on Feb 10 regarding pig farming activities in the state.
