SHARP, Nojima bring holistic Japanese living experience to Malaysians through LaLaport collaboration
The partnership brings together Japanese innovation, design philosophy and retail expertise to create a more immersive and integrated home living experience.

SHAH ALAM - SHARP Electronics Malaysia and Nojima Malaysia have launched a strategic collaboration in Malaysia to introduce a holistic Japanese-inspired living ecosystem through the “Japanese Living to My Home” concept.
Officially unveiled at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, the initiative combines premium technology, lifestyle solutions and authentic Japanese service culture to redefine modern living for Malaysian consumers.
The partnership brings together Japanese innovation, design philosophy and retail expertise to create a more immersive and integrated home living experience.
Through this collaboration, both companies aim to position Japanese brands as trusted providers of quality, reliability and customer-focused service, particularly amid growing competition from lower-cost alternatives in the market.
SHARP Electronics Malaysia Managing Director Ting Yang Chung said the partnership was built around delivering dependable and premium solutions for consumers.
“We want consumers to have superior choices which they can trust and Japanese brands represent integrity and excellence,” he said.

The collaboration also highlights the Japanese philosophy of “omotenashi”, a hospitality approach centred on attentiveness and customer care, which both companies said would shape the overall retail and consumer experience.
Director of Nojima APAC Pte Ltd and Chief Executive Officer of COURTS Malaysia, Tomonori Amma, said the initiative goes beyond conventional retail transactions.
“Our collaboration with SHARP allows us to present Japanese technology and lifestyle solutions in a way that is interactive, engaging and meaningful for Malaysians,” he said.
The initiative comes at a time when Malaysian households are increasingly looking for energy-efficient and practical home solutions amid rising living costs and changing work patterns, particularly with the continued prevalence of work-from-home arrangements.
To address these concerns, SHARP unveiled its latest J-Tech Inverter technology, which now includes an enhanced five-year warranty aimed at providing greater long-term value and energy savings for consumers.
Ting said the company wanted to help families manage rising utility costs without sacrificing comfort or convenience.
“This commitment would ensure that Malaysian families can save energy with a total peace of mind during times of economic uncertainties and energy price fluctuation, helping households to manage their expenses more wisely without compromising on comfort,” he added.
The “Japanese Living to My Home” campaign is also envisioned as a broader lifestyle ecosystem involving several Japanese brands. Alongside SHARP’s technology and Nojima’s retail expertise, the collaboration includes lifestyle elements from NITORI and Japanese-inspired interior aesthetics from Aatas Living.
Together, the companies aim to create a comprehensive daily living environment that integrates home appliances, furniture, lifestyle products and design concepts under one ecosystem.
The long-term goal is to position LaLaport as a premium destination where Japanese brands can collectively deliver a seamless and high-quality lifestyle experience for Malaysian consumers.
In addition to the exhibition area, the collaboration also introduces the SHARP x Nojima Japanese Living Hub, designed to replicate a real home environment. The space will host weekly lifestyle workshops and interactive sessions aimed at encouraging continuous public engagement and deeper understanding of Japanese-inspired living solutions.
