61 stab wounds: Suspect in Nurfisya's murder charged today

KOTA BHARU – A college student suspected of involvement in the murder of a Kolej Poly-Tech MARA (KPTM) girl arrived at the Magistrate's Court here on Tuesday to face a murder charge.

The suspect, 19, arrived at the court compound at 9.15am wearing a black T-shirt, accompanied by police officers.

The court compound was under tight security with the presence of police personnel and members of the media following the developments of the case.

The case drew widespread public attention following the discovery of the victim's body — Nurfisya Zulkifly, 19 — bearing 61 stab wounds, in Ketereh here on May 1.

The accused is expected to be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
