Man killed after being flung out of car, body found on oil palm branch

GUA MUSANG – A man died after reportedly being thrown from his car before his body was found caught on a palm oil tree branch in Kampung Panggong Jaya here on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old victim was confirmed dead at the scene at about 10.58am due to severe injuries.
Gua Musang Fire and Rescue Station chief Assistant Fire Commissioner Muhamad Azrul Izzham Zulkifli said the department received an emergency call regarding the crash at 11am before a rescue team was dispatched to the location.
He said firefighters arrived at 11.11am and found that the accident involved a Perodua Axia and a lorry.
“Upon arrival, we found a male victim who had been thrown from the car and was caught on a nearby oil palm branch close to the accident site,” he said when contacted by Sinar Harian.
The victim was confirmed dead at the scene before his remains were handed over to the police for further action.
Azrul said the operation involved nine firefighters from the Gua Musang station, assisted by police.
He added that the operation ended at 11.50am after the situation was confirmed to be safe.
