Two siblings die after falling from apartment block

JOHOR BAHRU - Two siblings died after allegedly falling from an apartment in the Tampoi area here on Sunday.
In the incident at around 8am, both victims - a 10-year-old girl and her eight-year-old brother - were found unconscious at the seventh floor of the building after the fall.
According to sources, the girl was pronounced dead at the scene while her brother died at hospital while receiving treatment.
Johor Bahru Utara district police chief Assistant Commissioner Radin Ramlan Radin Taha confirmed the incident when contacted, saying investigations were ongoing and a media statement would be issued soon.
Sharing about the heartbreaking incident on Instagram, a woman who was among the witnesses said she could not get the sound of a loud thud out of her mind.
"Ya Allah, Allahuakhbar, I am still so shaken. I keep hearing that loud sound, 'bamm'.
"This morning at 7.57am, a boy and a girl fell from the 12th floor, landing on the seventh floor near the pool at the apartment block where I live.
"My husband, our six-month-old baby and I were near the pool at the time," she wrote.
