SHAH ALAM – A bride’s search for a missing necklace gifted by her mother has taken a dramatic turn after she alleged that a video footage from her wedding preparations revealed suspicious actions by an individual present in the room where she was getting ready for the ceremony.

The bride, known as Anis, said she had spent nearly four months blaming herself for losing the jewellery, believing it had been misplaced during the hectic preparations on her wedding day.

However, the situation changed after she received video recordings from her wedding content creator, @_bridemoment.co, which she only reviewed after her honeymoon, prompting her to take a closer look at what had happened.

“I was in Krabi for my honeymoon, so honestly I didn’t want to think about where the jewellery went or what I should do after losing the necklace.

“For almost four months, I blamed myself for losing the necklace my mother gave me as a wedding gift – she told me I should wear it for my wedding,” she said.

Referring to a video posted on her Threads account @ansyahira_, she said only a small number of individuals were present in the room at the time.

“In the room, there were only me, the makeup artist, the wedding content creator and the alleged suspect,” she said.

She claimed that the individual initially approached her under the pretext of fixing her appearance.

“At the beginning, she said she wanted to tidy up my inner neck because she thought it didn’t look neat and it bothered her, but if you look at the first video, it was already properly arranged inside my outfit,” she said.

Anis said subsequent footage appeared to show the necklace being removed.

“In the second video, you can see her slowly pulling the necklace from my neck. In one clip, she reaches into my neckline from the right side and lifts the necklace upwards,” she said.

Following the incident going viral online, several users also came forward, claiming similar experiences involving the bride’s assistant.

Anis has since lodged a police report at the Tanjung Piandang Police Station regarding the incident.
