PN open to Parti Wawasan Negara’s entry, says Samsuri
Samsuri clarified that any new party seeking to join must go through the formal process outlined in PN’s constitution.

TANAH MERAH – Perikatan Nasional (PN) has no objections to accepting Parti Wawasan Negara should the new party submit an official application to join the coalition, said PN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.
He said the coalition remains open to any party interested in becoming part of PN.
“That is not an issue. We are open,” he told reporters during a press conference held in conjunction with the Reset Malaysia Convention in Taman Harmoni., Taman Hwarmoni, on Saturday.
Also present were Reset Malaysia chief Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin and Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.
However, Samsuri clarified that any new party seeking to join must go through the formal process outlined in PN’s constitution.
He said any application would be brought to the coalition’s leadership meeting, where it would be decided collectively by component parties.
“The constitution requires a majority agreement from component parties. Once an application is submitted, we will bring it to the meeting for consideration.
“At the same time, it is up to existing parties whether they wish to remain in PN or take a different course,” he said.
When asked about the timeline for a decision, Samsuri said discussions are expected to take place in the near future.
“God willing, in the near future,” he added.
Earlier, Hamzah announced the formation of a new political party known as Parti Wawasan Negara, which will serve as the political platform under the Reset movement.
He said the party will hold its inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) next week.
