SHAH ALAM -  The husband of Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri passed away on Thursday.

The passing of Datuk Kamil Misuari was announced by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) minister's office in a media statement.

According to the statement, Kamil, who was married to the Santubong Member of Parliament, passed away a short while ago.

Funeral arrangements will take place in Kuala Lumpur before his remains are flown back to Kuching, Sarawak on Friday.

The body will lie at Nancy’s official residence in Taman Serira, Jalan Mengeris, Petra Jaya, Kuching, allowing the public to pay their last respects before burial at the Samariang Islamic Cemetery. The timing for the final respects will be announced later.

The minister's office has invited the public to pray for the soul of the deceased.
